The stars of a quirky A&E series are upping the ante for the surprise hit with demands for more money. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Duck Dynasty" stars want more than $200,000 an episode for the fourth season.

The members of the Robertson family, which includes brothers Phil and Si and Phil’s sons, are working together to renegotiate their existing contracts, the story says. Along with the $200,000 demand for the fourth season, they are seeking raises for subsequent seasons, according to the report.

For now, the salary situation is holding up renewal for the show. A&E declined comment, but a resolution is likely given that the show is a huge hit for the network. The third season debuted in February with 8.6 million viewers and a 3.9 rating among viewers 18 to 49.

“In the key demo, ‘Duck Dynasty’ is second only to AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ on all of cable and tops all broadcast offerings in its 10 p.m. Wednesday slot,” the piece notes.
