One of the stars of the female-centric 1980s cop show "Cagney & Lacey" has been cast in a co-starring role in the new CBS comedy pilot "Jacked Up."

Deadline.com reports that Tyne Daly, who played working mom Mary Beth Lacey opposite Sharon Gless as single career woman Christine Cagney in the hit CBS procedural, will play opposite Patrick Warburton in “Jacked Up.”

“Also joining the Sony TV project, written by Greg Malins and directed by Fred Savage, is ‘The Artist‘s’ Missi Pyle,” Deadline reports. “’Jacked Up’ centers on Jack (Warburton), a beloved, recently retired baseball player who sets out to find a new purpose in life … starting with finding a wife with the help of his energetic and lovable best friend Barry (Rob Huebel).”

Daly, who is also known for her role on “Judging Amy,” will play Jack’s mother.

  1. Sharon Gless is on Burn Notice, not Tyne Daly. I don’t know the future of Burn Notice, but Daly has nothing to do with it.
