Hit Daytime Talk Show Will Be Around for at Least Three More Seasons: The Program Reaches 96% Clearance Through 2017 After Renewal by NBC-Owned Stations TVWeek

An award-winning syndicated daytime talk show received a renewal from the NBC Owned Television Stations, bringing its clearance to 96% through the 2016-17 season.

Announcing the renewal today for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” were Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, and Valari Staab, president of NBC Owned Television Stations.

The companies said in their announcement: “The series will continue to air on the 10 NBC-owned stations, including WNBC (New York), KNBC (Los Angeles), WMAQ (Chicago), WCAU (Philadelphia), KXAS (Dallas-Fort Worth), KNTV (San Francisco Bay Area), WRC (Washington, D.C.), WTVJ (Miami-Fort Lauderdale), KNSD (San Diego) and WVIT (Connecticut).”

The show has also been sold to the Hearst Television, Gannett, Belo, Sinclair Broadcast Group, LIN Television, Post-Newsweek Stations, CBS Television Stations, Raycom Media, Scripps Media, Allbrighton Communications, Cox Broadcasting, Communications Corp of America, Grey Television, Journal Broadcast Group, Local TV, Media General, Meredith, Nexstar Broadcasting, Max Media and Mission Broadcasting station groups, along with other broadcast outlets, the announcement reports.

“Ellen” is tied with “Dr. Phil” as the No. 1 syndicated talk show of the 2012-13 season among women 25-54, the announcement notes.
