Dennis Rodman Says He Has a New Diplomatic Mission

Dennis Rodman, who recently returned from his "basketball summit" in North Korea, says he has a new mission: meeting the new pope and fixing the problems of the Catholic Church, reports TMZ.com.

Rodman’s "people" in Rome have reportedly been in touch with the Vatican and are trying to arrange a sit-down with the next pope, who has yet to be elected.

"I want to be anywhere in the world that I’m needed. … I want to spread a message of peace and love throughout the world," the former NBA star told TMZ.

His mission to North Korea may not have had the desired effect. Soon after Rodman returned to the U.S. from his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Kim ratcheted up his rhetoric about waging war against the United States and South Korea.
