Former CNN Anchor Has Unkind Words for the Cable Network NY Post

A former CNN anchor, appearing before an audience at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, had a few less-than-kind words for his former network.

The New York Post reports that John King, whose 6 p.m. show “John King, USA” was scrapped by CNN last June, said in effect that there’s no point in watching the cable news channel in the morning anymore.

Said King: “If you watch CNN, I’m not picking on anybody, but if you watch CNN -- 9 o’clock in the morning, 10, 11, 12 o’clock -- it’s the same. It’s a single anchor, sitting in a chair, reading headlines that none of you have to turn on your TV to get -- because you can get them here.” King then held up a pair of cellphones, the story reports.

King previously appeared on CNN’s Sunday talk show “State of the Union,” now anchored by Candy Crowley.
