Fox Business Bringing Out Claws Against CNBC Ad Age
Fox Business is going for the jugular against CNBC, airing ads that mock its bigger rival's swing into reality programming, reports Advertising Age.
The ads are airing on Fox News and Fox Business -- as well as on CNBC, the story notes. The CNBC placement came via a local ad buy in New York purchased by Fox Business. The commercial tells viewers that Fox Business airs "No fluff, no games no nonsense. ... Our business is business -- that's our reality."
As previously reported, CNBC rolled out its new prime-time entertainment block this week, including a Tuesday evening block built on reality shows.
Fox Business is also poking fun at CNBC's new booking policy, which bans guests from booking appearances on rival networks within 24 hours or more of their CNBC spots, the story says.
"Does CNBC really think it can tell CEOs what to do?" the spot says. "Fox Business. We know how to talk to business leaders."
