NBC is taking a look at a comedy produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions, with former "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh in the lead, reports Deadline.com.

The network is considering giving a pilot order to the project, “Bad Judge,” the story reports.

Walsh would star as a "hard-living, sexually unapologetic woman," the story notes. She works as a judge in the criminal courts. Also producing is Anne Heche, who brought the idea to Gary Sanchez, the piece notes.

Since ending her run on "Private Practice" in January, Walsh has been sought after for pilots. She has appeared in several videos for Ferrell and McKay’s Funny or Die site, the piece notes.
