One of the stars of the Fox comedy series "Ben and Kate" has been cast as the lead in a new FX comedy project. Deadline.com reports that Nat Faxon will play the lead in FX’s untitled pilot from Andrew Gurland.

The pilot is about a married man, played by Faxon, and his wife, who want to enliven their marriage, the story says.

"Following his breakout starring role on Fox’s ‘Ben and Kate,’ Faxon was in high demand this pilot season, fielding multiple offers. But the actor-writer, who won an Oscar last year for co-penning ‘The Descendants,’ didn’t want to commit to a broadcast series full time because of his projects on the feature side, where he also is looking to direct," the piece notes.
