Comedy Central Orders Its First-Ever Dramatic Comedy Series

Comedy Central announced that it has ordered its first dramatic comedy series. The cable network ordered HBO’s digital series “Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!,” it was announced by Kent Alterman, president of content development and original programming.

Comedy Central will expand the six existing episodes of the series along with producing six all-new episodes. The existing episodes will be expanded to a half-hour each.

Stevens will also be featured in Comedy Central’s “The Half Hour,” with his stand-up set slated to air this summer. Stevens is also working on the 17-episode digital series “Push & Believe” for the cable network, following comedians as they prepare for their turn on “The Half Hour.”

“Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!” is executive produced by Stevens, Zach Galifianakis, Mike Gibbons, Generate’s Dave Rath and Funny Or Die and directed by Dean Fleisher-Camp.
