Because We Don’t Already Have Enough TV Shows About Pawn Shops … CMT Orders One

Following the success of History’s “Pawn Stars” — and its spinoffs “Cajun Pawn Stars,” “American Restoration” and “Counting Cars” — along with truTV’s entries “Hardcore Pawn,” “Combat Pawn” and “Hardcore Pawn: Chicago,” CMT is getting into the pawn shop business.

The cable channel picked up "Win Lose or Pawn," CMT’s first daily series, which will launch this summer as a strip, reports Deadline.com.

The format was created by veteran reality producer Phil Gurin of The Gurin Co., which is behind "Oh Sit," and Eric Evangelista of Hot Snakes Media. Both will serve as executive producers.

The show is currently casting, with the project searching for people who have objects to pawn or goods they want appraised.

  1. That’s a good piece of information. We should have one such to make people know about trustworthy pawnshops.
