Brett Ratner, who was ousted as the producer of the Oscars in 2011 after using an anti-gay slur, has donated $1 million to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ planned movie museum, reports The New York Times.
The academy intends to open the museum in early 2017, and Ratner gave to a campaign that’s aiming to raise $300 million, the story reports.
He apparently doesn’t hold a grudge, noting in a statement that he felt "blessed to be part of such a magnificent museum," the piece notes.
