Snooki is getting another 15 minutes of fame thanks to a new lawsuit. Viacom was hit with a class-action suit Tuesday that alleges a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act because MTV reportedly sent promotional texts to people who voted in the 2011 Video Music Awards, according to TheWrap.com.

The lawsuit claims a Tennessee resident voted in the 2011 VMAs via text message, and then was hit with promotional texts such as, "MTV: ‘Jersey Shore’ sneak peek of tonight’s episode — why is Snooki lying in a bush? Watch," according to the story.

The lawsuit alleges that MTV didn’t tell viewers that they had agreed to receive spam texts by voting. Viacom didn’t have comment on the lawsuit, the story says.
