A singer who was a fixture on the charts in the 1980s as part of an iconic pop duo will be at the center of a new reality show. TheWrap.com reports that Daryl Hall will debut a home restoration series called "Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall" next year on Scripps’ DIY Network.

Hall’s musical partnership with John Oates in Hall & Oates produced a string of hits including "Maneater," “Rich Girl,” “Private Eyes” and “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do).”

Hall will restore a one-bedroom house in Connecticut that was built in 1780 by a sea captain, the story notes. With the help of a team of craftsmen, he will try to create a new family home that balances historic accuracy with the demands of modern homeowners.
