NBC has snagged another key executive from rival broadcast network ABC. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that NBC hired Quinn Taylor as executive vice president of movie, miniseries and international co-productions.

Taylor was previously senior vice president of movies, miniseries and acquisitions at the ABC Entertainment Group. He will report to NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke.

Taylor follows former ABC colleagues Jeff Bader and Steve Kern in making the jump to NBC, as previously reported.

In a statement, Salke said: "NBC is excited to be back in the longform programming business — an area where the network has played a leadership role in the past — and we are thrilled that Quinn will be bringing his vision, experience and creative talent to the development of movies and miniseries for NBC.”

Like other broadcasters, NBC is beefing up its limited series and co-production efforts to round out its schedule with original programming that’s less costly. Co-productions can be economic, with episodic license fees costing as little as $250,000, the story notes.

At ABC, Taylor was involved in co-productions such as "Rookie Blue" and the Canadian show "Motive," according to the piece.
