With the ratings decline for Fox’s "American Idol," the traditional summer tour of the finalists has been scaled back, with 19 Entertainment cutting nine concerts, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Idol Worship.

The cities losing tour appearances include Las Vegas, Detroit and St. Louis. The tour will start July 19, instead of the originally scheduled start date of June 29.

With the cancellations, the tour has cut back one-quarter of its scheduled dates. The tour will still visit 30 cities in North America.
