CBS Unveils 2013-14 Premiere Dates, Including Final Season for a Huge Hit Show and a New Thursday Comedy Block

CBS today announced its fall 2013 premiere dates, with almost all of its new and returning series set to premiere during the season’s official premiere week of Sept. 23-29.

Included in the network’s plans for the season is a special launch for the final season of the hit series “How I Met Your Mother,” which will return for season nine with a one-hour episode Monday, Sept. 23.

The season will also feature a new two-hour Thursday night comedy block, with veteran shows “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. and “Two and a Half Men” at 9:30 sandwiching new series “The Millers” at 8:30 and “The Crazy Ones” at 9 p.m.

In addition, "The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards" will air live Sunday, Sept. 22, the network announced.

Premiere dates for new shows are as follows: "Mom" and "Hostages" premiere Monday, Sept. 23; "The Millers" and "The Crazy Ones" premiere Thursday, Sept. 26; "We Are Men" premieres Monday, Sept. 30.

"Survivor" will bow early, with a special 90-minute premiere set for Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The midseason drama "Intelligence" will premiere Feb. 24.
