A couple who hosted a self-help radio show committed double suicide, the New York Daily News reports. The Brooklyn couple, Lynne Rosen and John Littig, hosted a show called "The Pursuit of Happiness."

They committed suicide together by putting plastic bags over their heads and inhaling helium, the newspaper reports. They were found dead on a couch in their living room, leaving behind two notes.

“’We’re going to do this together,’ was the gist of Littig’s note, sources said,” the story reports. “Littig said, without explanation, that he could not watch his wife suffer anymore.”

Said a police source: “Her note basically said she was sorry for doing this. We believe she had some psychological problems.”

The report adds: “Until their decomposing bodies were found Monday, the couple had been best known as the hosts of a self-help radio show on WBAI-FM.”

Littig, a motivational speaker and musician, was 48 and Rosen, a psychotherapist, was 46.

“Neighbors in the 10-unit brownstone where the couple lived for two decades said they noticed a foul smell coming from their first-floor apartment earlier this week. They said the super kicked in the door after noticing blood dripping down into the basement through their floor,” the story reports.

“Police have not said when the couple ended it all. But neighbors said they were told they had been dead for a week before they were found.”
