Starz Greenlights Fantasy Series Deadline

Starz has given a series order to a show based on a best-selling fantasy book. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel ordered "Outlander," based on the book of the same title, from "Battlestar Galactica" developer Ron Moore.

The show has a 16-episode order, with production slated to start in Scotland in October. The project hired four writers a month ago to work on the series, which is about a World War II combat nurse who travels back in time to 1743 and falls in love with a young Scottish warrior.
