Asiana Airlines Thinks Better of Suing TV Station KTVU for Airing Fake Names of Pilots on Plane That Crashed at SFO Deadline, Reuters
Asiana Airlines has opted not to sue KTVU-TV over the TV station's reporting blunder, reports Deadline.com.
The story says, "Asiana Airlines has had a change of heart. Earlier this week, the carrier said it planned to sue local San Francisco Fox affiliate KTVU after the channel erroneously identified the pilots in the July 6 crash of Asiana flight 214 by four prank names.
"Today, however, the Seoul-based company said it was nixing those plans. 'Asiana Airlines has decided not to proceed with the case since KTVU has issued a formal apology and in order for us to focus all our efforts on managing the aftermath of the accident,' said a statement obtained by Reuters."
