Does Hallmark Have Its Third Original Series in the Works?

Jul 3, 2013  •  Post A Comment

Hallmark Channel has greenlighted an original movie to air in October, with the potential for the project to become a series if it’s successful, reports B&C. The project is "Dead Letters."

The two-hour movie features Eric Mabius from "Ugly Betty" as a postal detective who helps deliver letters and packages from the past, the story notes. If it moves on to be a series, it would become Hallmark’s third original prime-time show after "Cedar Cove," which debuts later this month, and "When Calls the Heart."

"Dead Letters" will air Oct. 12, with a potential series eyed for 2014. "Touched by an Angel" executive producer Martha Williamson is executive producing and wrote the script, the piece notes.
