Joe Roth, the producer behind Charlie Sheen’s comedy series "Anger Management," has settled a $50 million lawsuit that alleged he cut producer Jason Shuman out of profits from the FX show, The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. reports.

Shuman alleged he was stiffed millions in backend pay because the production had to meet significant financial demands from star Charlie Sheen, the story says. Shuman and his Blue Star Entertainment sued in April 2012, claiming they had developed the show "under the false promise of receiving significant backend ownership in, and producer credit and fees on, the show."

Terms of the settlement weren’t released.

"According to a source, the parties have been in discussion for months over how much ownership to give Shuman and what to do about the credit situation. If the settlement holds, it will cut short a trial that was scheduled for next April," the story notes.
