ABC Studios, the TV production arm of Disney-ABC Television Group and the largest producer of programming for the ABC broadcast network, has had a shakeup at its highest level of management. The Los Angeles Times’ Company Town reports that Barry Jossen is out as head of the studio, and will be replaced by Patrick Moran.

Moran was most recently the senior vice president of development for the studio, the report notes.

The shakeup comes after ABC ended the 2012-13 season in third place in total viewers and fourth place among adults 18-49. The only new shows from the past season to earn second-season orders were "Nashville" and "The Neighbors," the piece points out.

Jossen, who served as executive vice president of ABC Studios since 2009, has signed a production deal with the unit, the story adds.
