An actor from "Heroes" and an actress from "Numb3rs" have been cast in the USA Network comedy pilot "Divide & Conquer." Deadline.com reports that Greg Grunberg of "Heroes" and Diane Farr of "Numb3rs" have joined the project.

The original half-hour production is part of a batch of recent comedy pilot orders by USA — its first in 15 years. The order for "Divide & Conquer" follows orders for "Sirens," "Playing House" and "Love Is Dead," the story notes. The original comedies are geared as companions to off-network airings of "Modern Family" and will air starting in the first quarter of 2014, the story says.

"Divide & Conquer" is a family comedy that could pair well with "Modern Family," which will start its off-network run on USA Network on Sept. 24, the story notes. Grunberg and Farr play a couple with four children, with the dad feeling modern-day families over-parent their children, the story says.
