ABC has bought a high-concept time-traveling drama from "Life of Pi" writer David Magee, who is working with Michael Green on the project. Deadline.com reports.

The project, "Travelers," was bought with significant penalty, the piece notes.

"Travelers" is about a man who brings his family to a wake for the father he didn’t know, but discovers that the doors in his father’s house are time portals that send them through history, the story reports.

Oscar-nominated Magee is writing with Green supervising, and the project is produced by 20th Century Fox TV, where Green is under an overall deal. Green is also adapting "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" for Fox, which has a put pilot commitment.
