Animal Planet has ordered a six-part adventure docuseries called "Killer Islands," which features wildlife expert Dave Salmoni as he visits remote islands, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

Salmoni will travel to six islands during the series, looking at how and why the creatures living there have succeeded despite tough conditions.

The project, a co-production of Discovery Networks International and Animal Planet, will first air internationally on Discovery Channel. Animal Planet will debut the series in the U.S. next summer.
