An NBC sitcom is bringing in an actor from the AMC drama "Breaking Bad." The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike Ehrmantraut on "Breaking Bad," will tackle a multi-episode arc in the fifth season of NBC’s "Community."

The actor will appear in the second episode of the upcoming season, and is slated to be in 11 episodes. His character will be Professor Pat Nichols, a New Jersey-born man who teaches criminology and who has a mysterious background including traumatic police and military work, the story adds.

The fifth season will mark the return of creator Dan Harmon, who was ousted as showrunner for the series’ fourth season.

It’s not the first time a "Breaking Bad" actor has appeared on the show. Giancarlo Esposito previously guest-starred as Gilbert Lawson, the piece notes.
