Fox News has set a premiere date for a new show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The publication reports that the cable channel will roll out Howard Kurtz’ new show "MediaBuzz" on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. ET.

The former CNN commentator will host a live one-hour weekend program that "will focus on the state of the news media in addition to the media’s shaping of current events and their role in politics while also featuring interviews with leading journalists and commentators," the network said.

Kurtz recently came under fire for a Daily Beast article in which he suggested NBA player Jason Collins had failed to mention he was previously engaged to a women when he disclosed he was gay in a Sports Illustrated story. In fact, Collins had mentioned the engagement, and the backlash caused Kurtz to leave his role at The Daily Beast, the story notes.

His last appearance on CNN was on June 30. He had hosted "Reliable Sources" on the network since 1998.
