The miniseries "Houdini" is moving forward, with an Oscar-winning lead actor and a television channel now in place. B&C reports that History has greenlighted the project, which will feature actor Adrien Brody in the title role.
The four-part series, which will begin production this fall, will track magician and escape artist Harry Houdini as he travels from poverty to worldwide acclaim, the story notes. The project is co-produced by Lionsgate and A+E Studios, with Gerald Abrams and Andras Hamori executive producing.
Brody won an Oscar in 2003 for "The Pianist."
