The Fox musical drama "Glee" appears to be nearing the end of its run. Citing comments from Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly, EW.com’s Inside TV reports that the show is likely to wrap after its sixth season.

The upcoming fifth season is set to premiere next month, with a sixth season of the series already on order.

"I would not anticipate it goes beyond two more seasons,” Reilly told reporters Thursday. “Never say never, but there’s two very clear [story] arcs to get to that end and conclude. If we discover a new crop of kids and there’s some breakout we like … [but] right now, we’re thinking two seasons.”

The fifth-season premiere of "Glee" is currently set for Thursday, Sept. 26, a week later than first scheduled, because of the death of star Cory Monteith from an overdose.

As previously reported, Reilly said that Monteith’s character Finn Hudson will be written out of the show on the third episode of the upcoming season. While the episode will deal with drug addiction, it doesn’t mean that Hudson will die of a drug overdose.
