"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas is developing a project for Fox based on Victor Hugo’s novel "Les Miserables," reports TheWrap.com.

The one-hour drama project will focus on an attorney who is fighting the consequences of his own unjust conviction, while also working to try to get other wrongly convicted people exonerated, the story says.

The untitled prime-time soap is from Rob Thomas Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
