Simon & Schuster has given in to Joan Collins’ demand to cut a section of Shirley Jones’ book that claims Collins and her husband approached Jones and her husband about a sexual liaison, reports TMZ.com.

As previously reported, "Dynasty" star Collins was upset at Jones’ book, "Shirley Jones: A Memoir," over a claim in the book that Collins’ husband proposed the couples strip down and watch porn together. Jones, a star of "The Partridge Family," said she thought Collins’ husband, actor Anthony Newley, was proposing "swinging."

Collins sent Simon & Schuster a cease-and-desist letter, and both Jones and the publisher agreed to remove Collins’ name from the book. Her name will be removed immediately from the e-book and will be eliminated from future reprints, although the books that have already been printed will remain in circulation as they are, the story says.

"We all make mistakes. I’ve made a few myself, but not with Mrs. Jones. I’m a serial monogamist," Collins told TMZ.

Collins and Newley were married for most of the 1960s before divorcing. Newley died in 1999.
