'Rocky & Bullwinkle' Legend to Be Honored With TV Academy's Governors Award LA Times

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences next month will bestow its Governors Award on the woman who voiced Rocky the Flying Squirrel on "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show."

The Los Angeles Times' Show Tracker reports that the honor will go to June Foray. Foray, 95, will receive the award at the academy's Creative Arts Emmys ceremony Sept. 15, the story notes.

Foray has voiced iconic TV characters including Rocky and his enemy Natasha Fatale, as well as the sweet Granny, who owned Sylvester and Tweety Bird, in the classic "Looney Tunes" cartoons. Her voices also include Witch Hazel, who always tried to capture Bugs Bunny, and Cindy Lou Who from the TV special "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
