An upcoming TV movie will star an actor from the Fox series "Glee," who will also write a song for the movie. TheWrap.com reports that "Rocky Road," in the works at the cable network UP, will star Mark Salling, who played the bad boy Puck on “Glee.”

Scott Thompson (“Hannibal,” “Kids in the Hall”) and “SNL” alum Robin Duke will also star, according to the story.

“In the movie, which began production outside of Toronto this week, Salling will play Harrison Burke, a trader at a prestigious Wall Street investment bank who’s living high on the hog until a round of downsizing renders him unemployed,” the story reports.

Telling his parents he’s on vacation, Burke moves back home and takes a job with his father’s ice cream truck business in a small New Hampshire town.

The story notes that Salling will also write and record a song for the film.

Said Barbara Fisher, UP senior VP of original programming: “‘Rocky Road’ is a funny, timely story about a man whose charmed life melts away, forcing him to reconnect to his past, his family and his hometown.”

Tippi and Neal Dobrofsky (“Window Wonderland,” “Goodnight for Justice”) wrote the film for Entertainment One. Brian K. Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) will direct, with Entertainment One’s John Moranyniss and Ira Pincus executive producing.
