NBC’s "Saturday Night Live" has announced hosts and musical acts for the first few episodes of the upcoming 39th season, and the headline is the return of former "Weekend Update" anchor Tina Fey to host the premiere. USA Today reports that Fey will host the Sept. 28 season opener, with Arcade Fire on tap as the musical act.

The appearance will be Fey’s fourth as guest host since she left "SNL" in 2006 to launch "30 Rock." Arcade Fire will also be making its fourth appearance.

"For Week 2 on Oct. 5, Miley Cyrus, who made a grindingly big splash at MTV’s Video Music Awards, will both host and perform as the musical guest," the story reports. "And Oct. 12, actor Bruce Willis returns for his second hosting stint, joined by Katy Perry, promoting her upcoming album ‘Prism.’"

The report adds: "Still no word on how producer Lorne Michaels plans to replenish the Not Ready for Prime Time Players lineup. ‘SNL’ lost Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis in May and will see Seth Meyers depart, probably in December, as he readies his own late-night talk show, due in February."
