Film and television talent agent and manager J.J. Harris has died, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was 62 and is believed to have died Friday of natural causes.

Her roster included clients such as Kevin Costner, Drew Barrymore and Charlize Theron. She managed Costner until her death, the story adds.

Harris was found in her Beverly Hills home by staff, after she failed to return Costner’s calls, leading her office staff to become concerned and to check her house, reports Nikki Finke at Deadline.com.

"Through the years, Harris was an outspoken feminist who challenged mano-a-mano the Hollywood men’s club that long ruled actor representation," Finke writes. "Bluffing her way into the William Morris accounting department as a secretary, Harris rose through the ranks to become a young but powerful agent best known as fiercely loyal to her clients — even if they weren’t always as loyal to her."
