Showtime has shifted some of its production plans for "Homeland" in response to concerns about the situation in Syria. Lisa de Moraes reports on Deadline.com that the drama series changed the location for some third-season scenes that were planned to be taped in Israel.

Instead, the show will film in Morocco, with the show’s American producers informing the producers in Israel about the decision over the weekend.

"Producers of the show announced at a news conference in July that they were planning to return to Israel to shoot scenes for the final episodes of the coming season, according to multiple news reports from that month," the story notes.

The third season of the show is set to debut Sept. 29 on Showtime.
