Comedy Central has taken the wraps off plans for an hourlong stand-up special starring a former regular on NBC’s "Saturday Night Live." Deadline.com reports that the show will spotlight David Spade.

The program, "David Spade: My Fake Problems," will be executive produced by Spade along with Marc Gurvitz and John Irwin, the report notes. The show tapes in December in Hollywood.

"While Spade started his career as a comedian, this is only his second stand-up special and the first on Comedy Central — he previously headlined 1999′s ‘David Spade: Take the Hit’ on HBO," the report notes.

Since he left "SNL" in 1996, Spade has kept busy with a number of film and TV roles, including the feature "Joe Dirt" and the series "Just Shoot Me!" and "Rules of Engagement."
