An actor known for his role in Apple’s "Get a Mac" ad campaign is co-writing and may star in a project that’s been bought by NBC, reports Deadline.com.

The actor is Justin Long, who was a regular on NBC’s "Ed" before moving into feature films and becoming the face of the Apple campaign.

The project has received a script commitment with penalty and comes from 20th Century Fox TV and Jason Winer’s Small Dog Picture Co. Long’s younger brother Christian Long and Graham Wagner of "The Office" are also writing.

Called "The Younger Man," the project focuses on a man in his early 30s who is happily married to an older woman and who has a teenage son.

"While raising their teenage son, the two must endure his mother’s scorn and sideways glances from their community, but they are driven forward by his unspoken mantra ‘I’m gonna make you love me,’" the story says.
