CBS is buying a comedy from Greg Berlanti and "Smash" writers Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The comedy, which has a put pilot commitment, is about three moms living in a Brooklyn apartment building who help each other out. The project is based on an Israeli show called "Little Mom," the story says.

The comedy will be produced for CBS by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros., with Rottenberg and Zuritsky writing and executive producing. Berlanti will executive produce, while Melissa Kellner Berman will co-executive produce.

Berlanti has racked up a long string of TV credits over the past 15 years, including creating "Everwood" and executive producing ABC’s "Dirty Sexy Money." Early in his career he was a writer and producer on "Dawson’s Creek."
