Pirating ‘Breaking Bad’: Which Country Is Outpacing the U.S., U.K. and Canada?

The finale of "Breaking Bad" scored as the most pirated episode of the AMC series, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq.

More than half a million people downloaded the finale illegally in the 12-hour period after the show aired, making it a contender to become the year’s most pirated show, the story reports, citing TorrentFreak.

The biggest percentage of downloads came from Australia, which grabbed 18% of the total, outpacing the U.S., the U.K. and Canada. The reason might be because "Breaking Bad" in Australia hasn’t yet aired the second part of its final season, and Aussie fans might not be willing to wait, the piece points out.

  1. This is precisely why BBC is making sure that the DOCTOR WHO 50th Anniversary special airs at the same time it premieres on BBC. Yes, it means some viewers will have to stay up to 2AM but at least it’s on a Saturday!
