Singer Robin Thicke, who has been implicated in the frenzy surrounding Miley Cyrus’ controversial performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards, told Oprah Winfrey that he’s not to blame for the incident.

"Listen, I’m the twerkee. I’m tweaked upon," Thicke told the talk show host, according to People magazine.

Thicke made the comments in an episode of "Oprah’s Next Chapter," which will air Sunday at 9 p.m. on OWN.

"That’s all on her," Thicke, 36, said about the performance. "I don’t twerk myself, OK? I’m just twerked upon."

Thicke called the hoopla after the performance "silly" and "funny."

"I was on stage. I didn’t see it. So to me, I’m walking out towards Miley [and] I’m not thinking sex. I’m thinking fun, you know? I mean her and I don’t have that kind of — you have to remember, I’m singing my butt off. I’m sitting there. I’m looking up at the sky, and I’m not really paying attention to all that," he said.
