Roseanne Barr Accuses Chuck Lorre, Ashton Kutcher of Stealing a Joke EW
Comedian Roseanne Barr is accusing Chuck Lorre, the creator of CBS's "Two and a Half Men," and actor Ashton Kutcher of stealing one of her jokes, reports EW.com's Inside TV.
Barr complained on Twitter that a joke in Thursday's episode of the show was similar to hers. In the show, Kutcher's character jokes about being 91 years old, "I’d imagine that you’re wet in the places you used to be dry, and dry in the places you used to be wet.”
Barr has used a similar line since at least 2006, although hers refers to menopause and goes, "I’m wet where I’m supposed to be dry and dry where I’m supposed to be wet.”
Taking to Twitter, Barr wrote: “i would steal one of his jokes to make it even, but they all suck ass," the story notes. She also alleged that Lorre steals from other people's work with "no guilt" and urged other comics to watch Lorre's shows to see if he steals their material.
CBS, Lorre and Kutcher didn't respond to Barr's complaint.
