World Series Clincher Delivers Numbers for Fox Businessweek
Fox saw a big bump in viewer numbers for what turned out to be the World Series-clinching Game 6 Wednesday night, BloombergBusinessweek reports.
The numbers in major markets were 18% better than the final game one year ago, the piece reports.
"The Red Sox’s 6-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6 of Major League Baseball’s championship series attracted 12.5 percent of viewers in the 56 biggest U.S. media markets, according to figures provided by News Corp.’s Fox network, which broadcast the game," the story reports.
The piece adds: "The final game in 2012, a victory by the San Francisco Giants over the Detroit Tigers, drew a 10.6 big-city rating as it completed a four-game sweep, Fox said."
