ABC has made another early comedy pickup, giving a pilot order to an adaptation of the British comedy "Bad Education," Deadline.com reports.

The show’s creator and star, Jack Whitehall, will star in the ABC version, "An American Education." Whitehall will take on the role of Alfie Wickers, a British transplant to the San Diego public school system. Wickers uses novel educational methods that upset his test-focused administrators, the story notes.
