AMC is bringing back a drama series and giving the show a longer season. The Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker reports that the cable channel will bring back the Western series "Hell on Wheels" for a fourth season that will extend for 13 episodes, rather than the usual 10.
"Hell on Wheels" grew its audience during its third season, averaging 3.3 million viewers per episode.
"During its third season, AMC moved the series out of its traditional Sunday night home, where viewers have been trained to look for all of AMC’s big dramas such as ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Walking Dead,’ and put it on Saturday nights," the story reports. "The move worked, as the series picked up a larger audience."
Set in the 1800s, the series is about the construction of the first transcontinental railroad.
