Cable Channel Greenlights Five New Series

Travel Channel this week greenlighted five new original series, including three based on the "Secrets & Legends" franchise, reports B&C.

"Eat Secrets" will be hosted by Adam Richman, as he seeks out food gems hidden in locations across the U.S. The cable channel ordered 13 half-hour episodes from Sharp Entertainment, the story reports.

Shane Green will host "Resort Recon," which will use hidden cameras to show resort owners where they have problems with their establishments. The initial order for the show, from RelativityREAL, is for 13 one-hour episodes.

Three new series in the "Secrets & Legends" franchise will focus on castles, hotels and national parks, the story reports.

"’Castle Secrets & Legends’ is produced by Optomen Productions Inc. and was greenlit for five one-hour installments," the piece reports. "Twelve02 Productions Inc.’s ‘Hotel Secrets & Legends’ will get 13 one-hour segments. ‘National Park Secrets & Legends,’ which is produced by Galafilm Inc., was okayed for eight half-hour shows."
