After CNN sank to its worst prime-time ratings in more than a year last Wednesday, one of its new shows has also hit a new low, reports Deadline.com.

"Crossfire," which was restarted by CNN boss Jeff Zucker after eight years off the air, pulled only 233,000 total viewers and just 59,000 viewers in the key news demo of adults 25-54 for its Monday show, the piece notes.

"Monday’s results represent a significant drop from the October 3 high the Newt Gingrich, Stephanie Cutter, S.E. Cupp and Van Jones hosted show hit with 891,000 total viewers and 326,000 in the demo. ‘Crossfire’s’ previous viewership low was on October 25 when it had 251,000 total viewers. The previous demo low was on September 20 when it drew just 66,000 viewers among adults 25-54," the story reports.

Rival full-hour shows on Fox News and MSNBC performed much better, with "Special Report" on Fox News drawing 2.44 million viewers and 411,000 in the demo. MSNBC’s "PoliticsNation" drew 707,000 total viewers and 170,000 in the 25-54 group.

CNN also recorded its worst week under the Zucker regime for the week ended Nov. 1, averaging 385,000 total viewers and 95,000 adults 25-54. Comparable numbers for Fox News Channel: 2.367 million total viewers, 377,000 in the demo. And MSNBC: 683,000 total viewers, 150,000 in the demo.
