FX is developing a project described as an "odd couple comedy" from "Wilfred" director and executive producer Randall Einhorn, reports Deadline.com.

"Texts From Bennett," Einhorn’s first project under his overall deal with FX Productions, is based on a book of the same name from Mac Lethal. The novel focuses on the texts from the narrator’s cousin, a 17-year-old white boy who claims to be 13% black, the story says. The boy and his mother move in with the narrator after they lose their house.

The project is searching for a writer to adapt the book.
