Bravo has tweaked its arrangement with one of the cable channel’s most high-profile personalities and executives. Writing in The New York Times, Bill Carter reports that Bravo gave "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen a new two-year deal, which will keep him on the show and allow him to develop prime-time shows, but Cohen will also give up his executive position at the network.

Cohen will remain an executive producer on the many versions of the "Real Housewives" franchise, but will give up his role as executive vice president for talent and development at the cable network, the piece reports.

"Mr. Cohen said in an interview that when his show expanded to five nights a week two years ago, it signaled an ‘inevitable transition’ for him away from his executive work," Carter reports. "But he said he had not given his programming position short shrift, having been instrumental in the development of numerous new shows on Bravo, including ‘Married to Medicine,’ ‘Fashion Queens’ and ‘Shahs of Sunset.’"
