MTV Dedicates a Day to Miley Cyrus

MTV wants more of Miley Cyrus, and is programming eight hours of shows dedicated to the singer in celebration of her 21st birthday, reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

Cyrus made headlines with her VMAs performance in August on MTV, in which she twerked and used a foam hand in ways that some viewers found offensive.

EW.com reports: “The half-hour program will feature Cyrus reflecting on her career as well as a look back at some of her milestone music videos and performances, including Miley’s best MTV moments (hmmm … I wonder what those will be). MTV will then air a deluxe edition of ‘Miley: The Movement’ with new commentary from the singer before the birthday girl introduces and hosts episodes of her favorite MTV shows ‘Awkward’ and ‘Snooki and JWOWW.’ The day ends with a repeat of the ’21 Candles’ special at 7:30 p.m. ET.”
